Flag Football.

Ty started flag football last week. He had his first practice on Thursday. It’s pretty entertaining to watch a bunch of 5 and 6 year olds try to play an organized sport. First they had them doing some warm up exercises, stretches, jumping jacks, a little jog around the field. Then they got to practice with the flags on. This it when it got good! They all had trouble ripping the flags off, they didn’t want to stay inside the cones, they were running out of bounds, some got mad when their flag was ripped off, it was all very entertaining! He has practice every Thursday, he will miss tonight’s because he is sick. His first game is Saturday morning at 9am. Hopefully he is feeling better by then.

24 week update.

I just got back from my level 2 ultrasound. I had done the triple screen blood work and one of the screens came back elevated. So, my ob thought it best to send me for a level 2 ultrasound to make sure all was well. She thought it was elevated due to what might be left of the other baby. We had to go all the way down to Bayfront (St. Pete), why do they never have specialists close to your home??? First we had to meet with the genetic counselor, which was interesting. You had to go through your entire family history on both sides. Then she discussed the blood work and what could potentially be wrong with the baby. It was pretty awful! I wish they would have just done the ultrasound first and if there was a problem, then do all that genetic counseling business! So, after all that wonderful news, we go in for the ultrasound. The tech was very nice and we got some great new pictures of Eli, yes we are pretty surely set on Eli, just need to figure out a middle name, and no it will not be Godzilla, no matter how much Dave wants it! She measured lots of stuff, looked at the brain, stomach, spine and everything looks great! No signs of Spina Bifida! The doctor came in after and said everything looked perfect! He is measuring perfectly and she saw no signs of anything. It was such a relief!

So, hopefully now I can really relax with this pregnancy. I hate that I dread going to the ob, when I should be so excited! I am just always thinking, what is going to be wrong now. Since I know everything is going along perfectly now, hopefully I can chill out and relax! I have still been feeling pretty good. My back is starting to hurt and the heartburn has kicked in, I am also still pretty tired! I did go register at Babies R Us with Suzanne! That was lots of fun. I already got one present already! My mom sent me the stroller and car seat!!! How awesome is that???? We are also in full swing for planning the baby shower as well! Mom can’t wait to cook the food! Looks like it will be a Mexican food theme on St. Patrick’s Day! I think that sounds fabulous!

20 weeks!

I can’t believe I am halfway done already! I will admit the beginning was really dragging. I think all the holidays help move these last few weeks along much faster! I will have Dave do a belly picture when he gets home from work today.

I have been feeling him move a LOT more lately! He is really low so pretty much every time he kicks my bladder I feel like I am going to pee my pants! I am still feeling pretty good. I don’t get my energy for the day until about 11:30am. This just started over break so it will be interesting when I have to go back to work on Tuesday!

I got the upstairs office all cleaned out (this will be his room). I just need Dave to move the tv out of there. I actually found all the parts to Ty’s crib, which is a miracle after the 10 million moves we have been through! I just need Dave to put it together and a new mattress and we are good to go! I even think I found the bedding that I want. My next appointment is January 11th. Things are going pretty smoothly! I am sure May will be here before we know it!

It’s a boy! Again…

While we were both hoping for a girl we are super exited to be having another boy. The front runner for a name is Eli somethingwith3syllables West.

17 Weeks!

I can’t believe I am 17 weeks already! I go December 14th for my next ob appointment and she will give me my script for the big ultrasound! I already made my appointment for the ultrasound, I go December 15th at 8:15am!!! I can’t wait to find out what we are having!!!

Sad news…

Yesterday at my OB appointment there was only one heartbeat. They did an ultrasound and we could see both babies but only one had a heartbeat. It’s so hard to be happy about the healthy baby and sad about the other. I know these things happen for a reason but I am still pretty upset about it. It’s going to be hard not to worry about this other little baby for the rest of my pregnancy.

11 weeks!

As of yesterday I am 11 weeks pregnant. Things are still going along very smoothly. No morning sickness!! I am still just very tired. Most days I really wish I did not have to wake up at 6am for work! I had an OB appointment last week and they did an ultrasound. We got to see them and I couldn’t believe they were moving around so much! I do think I have started to feel those “butterfly” flutters, which seems crazy that it is so early. I don’t think I felt Ty move until 15 or 16 weeks. I go next week on Wednesday for my full prenatal visit. Hopefully we will get to hear the heartbeats then!
