Well it’s that time again! Today was the Bucs first preseason game. They played Miami and lost 10-7. I don’t really enjoy the preseason games too much since they only play the good players for the first quarter. So, I usually watch the first half and then call it a night. They looked decent tonight. It was pouring in Miami and they have that lame baseball diamond on their football field so it was super muddy. I am just glad that football has started!

We are off to a little island called Don Pedro. It has 8 miles of white sandy beaches and you can only get there by boat. I can’t wait to have some quality family time and just plain old relaxing. We are heading out in about 15 minutes. Amanda is going to join us on Tuesday and then Jackson and Kristi will join us on Friday. Mom and Austin will be with us the whole time. I will bring back lots of pictures! Hope everyone has a great week!

Yesterday was my last official day of school until sometime in August! I plan to catch up (as much as possible) on my scrapbooking, spend lots of time by the pool and/or the beach with Ty, watch Big Brother and Trueblood, finally watch the last 5 episodes of Lost. We also rented a house on the beach down by Boca Grande for a week in July, so I am looking forward to that. A few trips down to Key West will also be in order. Overall, I am very excited for my vacation!

We decided to move Dave’s office upstairs into Ty’s playroom and Ty’s playroom will now be Dave’s old office (downstairs). This will give Dave more privacy, not so good when he is on a conference call and Ty is screaming in the background. With Ty’s playroom downstairs, this will save us many trips “upairs” (as Ty would say) to play. Well, I had to take the opportunity of the room switch to paint. The playroom (Dave’s new office) was a cotton candy pink and Pepto Bismol pink. Now it is a soothing “cloudy day” color, a gray blue. It looks so much better! I do still need to do the dreaded trim but I want to give it a few days to dry before I start putting the painter’s tape on it. Once we move all of Dave’s stuff into his room then I can paint the new playroom. I am only painting on days Ty has school. So, day 2 will be Monday. I might sneek in the trim this weekend and be able to paint the new playroom (Dave’s old office) on Monday. Once we have all the furniture in, then I will take pictures.

I have been on blog hiatus for some good reasons! We left for Hive 09 (which I will have a separate post for) on the 18th of June and stayed until the 21st. Then this past week we have had to deal with Ty being crazy sick. Tuesday night we put him to bed about 8:30, totally normal, and he woke up at 11:30 gasping for breath accompanied by the horrid barking cough. So, off to the ER we went. Turns out it was croup. They gave him some oxygen and some oral steroids to open up his airways. We got home around 3:30am. Then for the next 2 days we dealt with psycho Ty. The oral steroids made him insane! He would go to sleep well past 11 and wake up at 5am! So, he finally finished with the steroids and then proceeded to get a head cold! He has been coughing like crazy(not the barking cough thankfully), waking about every hour at night. His fever finally broke last night. So, we are hoping for a much better night’s sleep tonight. Keep your fingers crossed for us. I promise be a better blogger once I have had some decent sleep!
