Embryo update.

Well, I just got a call from our embryologist, Seth.  Of our 11 embryos that we had, we put 3 in and then they were going to try to get the others to the stage where you can freeze them, cryopreservation.  Seth told me that we had 3 embryos that made it to cryopreservation!!!  This is exciting as we can try to make more babies later and not have to go through all the crazy shots and it will be much less expensive! Go awesome embryos!!

Transfer update!

So, out of the 11 that fertilized all 11 grew as well!!! They say 8 is the perfect size and if they have zero fragmentation that is ideal (yet almost impossible). We had 4-8celled, 4-10celled and 3-12celled! Our doctor said he had never seen anything like this in the 30 years he has been doing this! He had never seen then grow so fast and so perfectly! The 3 we put in all had zero fragmentation as well!! I am so freaking excited! On this day in their growth we would have been lucky to have a few 8celled but to have so many perfect embryos is beyond awesome!! We are having the rest grow and see if they can make it to the stage where they can freeze them.

So, we put in 2-8celled and 1-10celled. He also said my lining of my uterus was much thicker than before, which is really good, gives them good stuff to stick on to and dig in! I am beyond excited! I really feel like this has to be the one. I have been laying around all day. My mom came and made me yummy chicken soup for lunch. I have orders from Suzanne that you must eat chicken soup on your transfer day. On her 2nd IVF she had chicken soup and she got pregnant! I will be taking it easy all weekend but now the 2 week wait starts. I go in Sept. 9 for my blood test to see if I am pregnant. Keep crossing all those fingers!

Tomorrow is the big day!

Tomorrow is transfer day.  We will find out how big all of the eggs grew and see how many we can put in.  Don’t worry, we can only do up to 3 so I will not be the next octomom!  Keep your fingers crossed we have some great looking 8 celled embryos!

We have fertilization!

Out of the 14 eggs that we got, 11 of them fertilized!!!  This is so exciting!  I have a really good feeling about this.  We go on Friday for implantation.  We will also find out then how many grew to be 8-celled.  That is the magic number, 8.  Everybody hope for 8.  Eight is great!

Successful retrieval!

We had our retrieval this morning and they got 14 eggs!!  Much better than the 5 we had last time around.  Now we wait until tomorrow to know how many of the 14 fertilized.  Keep your fingers crossed!
