Key West wedding party!!!

This weekend we  traveled down to Key West to celebrate mom’s marriage to Brad.  Though the weekend itself was not the most enjoyable (I will explain after all the pretty pictures!), the party itself was awesome!  We all had a great time!  It was nice to have us all together (even if some of us got very sick and could not quite enjoy the weekend like the others).  We are so happy for mom and Brad!  Here are some pictures from the big party!

Had to put this one in because of Austin’s expression.

So, as you can see the party was a hit.  Let’s get back to what happened before we got there.  Thursday night (we were leaving Friday morning at 4am for the ferry) Ty came down with a fever.  We motrined him up and he seemed pretty good.  He fell asleep around 11pm and then had to wake him up at 4, that was fun.  So we decide we can’t miss mom’s party and Ty is good enough to go.  We get down to the ferry about 7:30am and load up.  It was pretty full already so we didn’t get to sit together.  Ty was a trooper the way down, watched the movie they played, napped a little.  The ferry was an extra hour due to the winds so we didn’t get into Key West until 1.  We all caravan back up to Sugarloaf Key (where Brad lives) and dispurse to where we are each staying until the party.  I keep giving Ty his motrin and cough medicine and he seems to be holding up well.  Ty falls asleep before dinner is served, but that was good because he needed the rest.  The party goes off without a hitch and everyone has a blast.  We get home, exhausted (barely had any sleep the night before) and go to sleep.  Ty wakes about 4am, very hot.  Give him more motrin.  He falls back asleep.  Ty sleeps pretty well considering.  Wakes around 8.  Dave wakes up and feels like death.  Wonderful.  Dave literally sleeps all day.  He does not come back to life until around 4:30.  Amanda, Kristi, Casey and Gran all go shopping in Key West on Saturday, I decided to stay behind, not the greatest idea to go shopping with a sick child.  Ty and I hang out and play in the sand and outside most of the day.  We stayed at Brenda’s rental house and she has an awesome outside area.  Take a look.

Right past the canoe is the water.

This is on the other side, there is a hammock right behind there.

Sunday, Dave is kind of back to life.  He keeps drinking his Dayquil.  Ty is still needing motrin but not cough syrup anymore. We hang out at Brad’s house most of the day.  Brad takes Ty fast on the skiff.  He loves it!  Dave said Brad was going fast and then said, “Let’s go even faster!” and punched it some more and Ty threw his hands up in the air and screamed, “NO ONE IS FASTER THAN US!!!”  Too cute! I go pack up all our stuff and we head down to the ferry at 3:30pm.  We get great seats on the ferry this time because we are early and we are considered “special needs” since we have a small child.  I was definitely feeling special needs by then!  So, again the ferry takes an extra hour due to the wind.  We finally get to the dock at 10:30, get down to the car and the damn battery is dead!!!!  Can you believe this crap!  Jackson didn’t have jumpers but we got the parking lot guy  and he had some.  Thankfully it started and we were on our way.  Apparently, I left the headlights on. Doh.  We get home about 1:00am, exhausted.  Poor Austin still had to drive to St. Augustine!  Luckily he made it safe and sound.  Dave took Ty to the doctor today and he still has his double ear infection and a viral infection.  Fun.  Hopefully he starts feeling better soon.  I am just glad I did not get sick!  Can you imagine.
